Zen Myself Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 October 2026

This policy explains what data the Zen Myself mobile app ("the app") collects, why, how long we keep it and what rights you have.

1. Who we are

The data controller is FROMCODE 119 EOOD, a company registered in Bulgaria (UIC 201550322). Our full company details are in the Terms of Use.
Contact for anything about your data: support@fromcode.com.

2. What we collect

Your account

  • email address and password (stored only as a cryptographic hash), or Sign in with Apple or Google — then we receive an identifier from Apple or Google, the email they share with us and, from Google, your first name;
  • the name we address you by, and how you like to be addressed.

What you enter so your affirmations and readings are personal

  • age group, date of birth, and optionally time and place of birth;
  • your answers to the first questions (goals, habits, topics);
  • the moods you check in and the topics behind them;
  • favourite affirmations, collections, your own affirmations, hidden affirmations;
  • people you add for a reading together: name, date of birth and how they relate to you. Only add people you have a reason to.

How you use the app

  • which affirmations you read, like and share, how long you read them, when you open the app and your practice — for your streak and the "Your path" statistics;
  • your device type (iOS or Android).

Purchases

  • if you buy a subscription, payment is handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see your card details. Through RevenueCat we receive the subscription state (trial, active, stopped) and the transaction number.

Ads (free version only)

  • people without Premium may see ads from Google AdMob: a short ad they choose to watch to keep their streak going, and now and then a full-screen ad. Premium members see no ads;
  • before any ad, the app asks for your consent where the law requires it (Google's consent form) and, on iPhone, whether apps may track you. If you say no, ads are not personalised;
  • Google may then process your device's advertising identifier, IP address and ad interactions under its own policy (policies.google.com/technologies/ads).

What we do NOT collect

  • we do not sell your data, and your birth data, moods and answers are never shared with advertisers;
  • recordings of your own voice stay on your phone only and are never uploaded; they are deleted when you sign out;
  • reminders are scheduled on the phone itself — we keep no push notification tokens.

3. Why we use it and on what legal basis

We use your date of birth and moods only to choose your affirmations and readings. We do not sell them or share them for advertising. The app makes no decisions with legal effects on you.

4. Who processes data on our behalf

  • Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) — the servers your data is stored on;
  • RevenueCat, Inc. (USA) — subscription verification; transfers outside the EU are covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses;
  • Google Ireland Ltd. (AdMob) — ads in the free version;
  • Apple and Google — payments, Sign in with Apple and app distribution, under their own terms.

Email confirmation messages are sent from our own mail server.

5. How long we keep it

  • for as long as your account exists;
  • when you delete your account (in the app's Settings), your data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised; payment records are kept for as long as accounting law requires (up to 10 years);
  • backups are overwritten within 30 days.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict and port your data and to object to its use. You can delete your account yourself in the app. For anything else, write to support@fromcode.com — we reply within 30 days.

You may also complain to the Bulgarian data protection authority, the Commission for Personal Data Protection, 2 Prof. Tsvetan Lazarov Blvd, 1592 Sofia, www.cpdp.bg, or to the authority in your EU country.

7. Deleting your account

You can delete your Zen Myself account and its data at any time, without contacting us:

  1. Open the app and go to Settings (from your profile).
  2. Tap Delete profile (in Bulgarian: Изтрий профила).
  3. Confirm with your password, or with Apple or Google if you signed in with them.

Your account, profile, answers, favourites, collections, reminders and practice history are deleted straight away or irreversibly anonymised. Payment records are kept only as long as accounting law requires (up to 10 years). Recordings of your own voice live only on your phone and are removed with the app.

If you can no longer open the app, email support@fromcode.com from the address of your account and ask for deletion; we delete it within 30 days and confirm by email.

A subscription bought through Google Play or the App Store is billed by the store: cancel it there as well, because deleting the account does not stop the store from charging.

8. Children

The app is not meant for children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and for significant changes we will tell you in the app.

10. Credits

The list of places you can choose as your place of birth comes from GeoNames, licensed under CC BY 4.0.
